Cash Room is a tool that allows you to keep track of the cash at every stage of an Event at your venue.
Listed below is the correct workflow of setting up your Cash Room. Please make sure that these steps are completed before actively using Cash Room for your Events.
NOTE: We currently don't support Cash Room in scenarios that aren't using Events. |
Give your Devices a Default Location
Your devices need Default Locations set for any device that is being tracked in Cash Room. This feature allows your cash data and cash drops performed directly on your terminals to properly communicate between Access and Bypass Manager.
Create your Event Templates
For ease of use with Cash Room, you will create Event Templates to automatically set a starting bank for each of your locations that are being tracked in Cash Room. These templates also allow you to make the choice of tracking your cash by the terminal or by an entire location. Once created, you can set these templates to new or existing Events.
Creating Event Templates is covered in the article Creating an Event Template.
NOTE: While it is recommended to use an Event Template, you can use Cash Room without one. When doing so, you will see all locations in your venue listed on the Overview page. Additionally, not using an Event Template means that you must set each Location to "Track by Location". |
Add your Events to the Events Calendar
Events are created using the Events Calendar in Bypass Manager. This calendar also allows you to set your created Event Templates to specific Events for Cash Room tracking purposes.
Make sure that the start and end times of the event encapsulate all sales during that event.
For example, if the event ends at 11 PM on the Events Calendar, but there are a couple of orders placed at 11:02 and 11:08 PM, you can edit the end time of the event to 11:30 PM. This will ensure that these orders are included in the total sales for that event on your reports.
