Cashiers can create and edit orders on the Register Screen. This article will explain the different ways you can create and adjust an order on the sales terminal.
The Register Screen is organized into a Cart, a Menu, and the Menu Categories.
The Menu shows that Location's Menu Items and is organized by Menu Categories.
Tapping on a menu item will add it to the cart.
Items that show a small plus icon have Modifiers connected to it. A second screen will appear and show any additional options added to that item.
Items that have a price per oz notated are weighted Items. Tapping on this item will display the weigh item screen and prompt the user to use the scale.
Tapping on an item in the cart will display that item's details. Here you can:
- Add and remove that items quantity
- Remove the Tax
- Return that Item to inventory
- Or Return the item (Only used in retail scenarios)
- Add special instructions that will display on the chit (if applicable)
Once the order has been made you can tap Checkout to proceed to the Tender Screen.
If Pickup Notifications are enabled a prompt will ask for the customer's name and phone number.
