Before creating and managing events we need to configure the type and templates these events will use. First, we will make the Event Types and then we will make the Event Templates.
Creating Event Types
To create an event type navigate to Configuration > Event Settings > Event Types.
Click the green Create button in the top right. The side window will open.
Just type the name of the event type and click Save.
Creating Event Templates
Event Templates will allow us to set certain settings to make it easier for events that your business host.
To create an event template navigate to Configuration > Event Settings > Event Templates.
To create a new event template click the green Create Template button in the top right.
First, pick a name for your template and then pick an event type. Secondly, we will look at the bottom of the list and choose what locations will be used for this template.
Check the box next to any location that will be used under this event template. You can choose to track by terminal or location (can be multiple registers).
You will also set the starting bank for these locations. Click on the Calculator to set how many bills and coins will be available here.
Once you are finished click the green Save Event Template to save.
